Santa flies in a helicopter?

When your spouse is a pilot he does. Even though we don't participate in the idea of Santa Claus we can still enjoy the Coast Guard Christmas party at the air station! They had bouncy houses, Christmas cookie decorating, wish list crafts, reindeer food making, face painting, and pizza. It was lots of fun and at the end Santa flew in on the HH-65 and passed out books to all the children.

Nolan stuffing his face with the cookie he helped decorate!

Nolan with Santa...he was not a fan so I had to hold him.  Guess it is a good thing we don't do Santa haha.
Also, just realized this is Nolan's and my first picture with a Santa.

As Santa was flying in one parent told their child that it was a good thing Santa was giving those reindeer a rest today to get ready for Christmas...too funny.

Now...before I get harrassed about this whole Santa thing I will briefly explain.  Our children will know who St. Nicholas is, an actual real person who lived long ago.  And they will understand that the Santa Claus figure comes from that story.  I did not grow up believing that Santa is real.  That doesn't mean we didn't get presents or celebrate Christmas the correct way, in honor of Christ's birth.  Anyways it gets complicated but I do remember we got in trouble for telling other children that Santa wasn't real, or rather my mom did by their mothers.  She then informed us we shouldn't ruin it for others if they choose to do that.  We will attempt the same.

I agree with your Santa philosophy. We're not going to do the Santa thing either. Hope you guys are doing well!
