Wee Lady Lavinder

Emphasis on the wee part...I have had two visits to the perinatology office for ultrasounds because our little girl is just that, little.  She has been measuring about one to one and half weeks behind for a little over a month now.  This hasn't really made us nervous or any cause for alarm. I mean Daniel and I are not big people ourselves.  Doctors just like to keep an eye on things when they are under the 10% range on the growth chart scale.  She measured in the 8% last month and today in the 5%.  So 95% of babies at this time are bigger than she is.  She weighs in at about 1 pound 6 ounces.  I have another ultrasound in 3 weeks and if she still is on the small side they will start checking her weekly.  I was told this is to check blood flow etc. because with smaller babies sometimes that can become an issue.  So I guess this is a prayer request blog.  Daniel doesn't think anything is wrong and that doctors these days don't want to let people just have normal pregnancies.  Which could be very true.  But she is quite small. Everything else looks GREAT!  She has already started practicing breathing and all the organs, etc. look just right.  I do believe that our child is fine and will just be on the small side, which is fine with me.  But every once in a while, every few hours since the appointment this morning haha, I get this what if thought in my head for a brief second.  I told Daniel if nothing is wrong great, but if something ends up being wrong then we will be thankful for these extra appointments.  Pray for our wee lady that she stays healthy and grows at whatever rate God wants her to.  Prayers never hurt.  I apologize if this is the way you find out about this, we haven't really told anyone because we weren't really worried, but I decided while Nolan was napping to write about this, emphasis on was because I just now hear him waking up early...ugh.  :)

I am confident she's just a wee little girl and otherwise strong and healthy....
