Stupid Squirrels

Squirrels are eating my strawberries and it doesn't make me very happy!  Here is my big pot that has 11 plants in it and a half eaten strawberry!  I am going to try a couple things to stop this.  I sprinkled cayenne pepper and garlic powder on them which seems to work, but our front porch smells like someone has been cooking a lot.  And my neighbor suggested sprinkling human hair around the pots.  Apparently squirrels don't like our hair.  So the next time I cut Daniel's hair I will give it a shot.  I have already lost 6 strawberries to the pesky animals, whom I normally don't mind, but Daniel doesn't count the strawberries that the squirrels eat as strawberries that my plants have produced.   They only count if we get to eat them.  So the tally so far is 8 strawberries harvested and 6 stolen.  The price is going down...but slower than expected thanks to these animals that are everywhere in Savannah. 

Help me Mama, Daddy is so mean to me when he changes my diaper  :)
