Recent Activities (some not so recent)

Christmas, New Year's, and Nolan's 1st Birthday have come and gone without any updates to our blog. The main reason is because we do not have internet access here at our home in Savannah yet. I know, long story. But, I can hook the computer up to my phone and get internet that way, just takes a long time to upload photos.

For Christmas we went to Richmond to visit with Daniel's family. It was lots of fun seeing Nolan with family for his first Christmas. He wasn't too interested in the gift opening part, still to young to understand...but he loaded up with tons of toys and enjoys playing with them.

Nolan's 1st Birthday was a week long adventure for some of us. My mother came down to visit and my sister came along as a surprise! It was great! And that weekend Daniel's Dad, Mom, sister Sarah, and brother Elliot all came down from Richmond. And an extra special surprise my brother-in-law James drove down my Grandma so she could come as well! That's right, count it, we had 11 people staying in our new house. And there was room for ALL of them! The more the merrier we say. We took a carriage ride through downtown Savannah on Saturday and celebrated Nolan's Birthday with a party on Sunday (his actual birthday) featuring a savannah cuisine, low country boil...yum!
At the Tybee Island Lighthouse...178 stairs to the top.
The lady at the gift shop informed us that every 25 steps there is a landing to rest. Karen and I laughed at this, rest, no we won't need that. Here is all three of us at the top and yes, we needed the rests :) pretty hardcore...I blame it on the fact I had Nolan attached to me, not sure what their excuses are.

The beach at Tybee IslandNotice the smirk on Karen's face. She proceeded to push mom into the water immediately after this shot. Now notice mom's bare feet...because her shoes wet.
