Hometown Heroes

Savannah hosted a Hometown Heroes day at Daffin Park (5 blocks from our house). Daniel got to fly the helicopter there and have a static display from 12-4pm today. Nolan and I took Audrey down and hung out for a while. I left half way through and took Audrey home, she was really hot. And let Nolan and I cool off a bit. Then walked back over to to watch Daniel fly away. Sadly I forgot to get a picture of Audrey seeking shade underneath the helicopter...I'm pretty bummed about it. But I did get pictures of Nolan and the crew, and a video of Daniel flying the helicopter!

This is him actually flying the helicopter.

Hot and sunny, it was a BEAUTIFUL day!  All of us, minus Nolan who was slathered extra good in sunscreen, got some sun i.e. sunburns :) bad adults

Daniel and James putting their gear on to head back to the airstation.

All the guys going through the pre-flight checklist, making sure everying is a-okay before they head out.

Flying back over us one more time...

This was a really cool experience, hanging out with Dad when he has to work on a Saturday and seeing him fly.   Nolan had a blast running around showing off his skills of ball throwing and running :) It may sound corny but I think it is super exciting to see my husband fly this helicopter...I mean how cool is that?  It was actually my first time seeing him fly, was never able to catch it before at flight school.   Nolan thought the helicopter was pretty cool too.  I used to get the same giddy emotion when I would see him con the ship in when he was on the Elm.  He gets to do such exciting things, what a talented husband I have!
